REDress Project

The REDress Project was started by Metis artist Jaime Black in 2010 to represent the many missing and murdered Indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirited people. Indigenous women and girls face higher rates of violence than other groups of women in Canada. Between 1980 and 2022, 16% of women murdered in Canada were Indigenous, yet they constitute only 4% of Canada's female population.
